Bentonville West Baseball wins inaugural season opener against Siloam Springs 6-5. With the bases loaded and one out West scored on a wild pitch to clench it's home opener 6-5. Jaron Jim Jenkins went 5 Innings allowing 5 runs (0 earned) while striking out 2 and allowing no walks. Dakota McDonald picked up the win with 2 innings of shutout baseball allowing 1 hit and striking out 1.
Offensively Joey Aden, Dakota McDonald, Will Jarrett, and Jaron Jenkins led the way. Aden had a hit, walk and scored the teams first run. Jenkins had a line drive single and was also issued a base when he was hit by a pitch. Jarrett had an RBI single and McDonald had a two RBI base hit on a hard ground ball through the right side.
Bentonville West will be back in action Friday night when they host the Gravette Lions at 5:00.
