Bentonville West Facilities Second To None.
The folks at Mascot Media were lucky enough to receive a tour of the new Bentonville West facilities on Monday. Head football coach Bryan Pratt was pleased with the facilities, but was already talking about the next phase of operations for the brand new school. It is clear a great deal of planning went into every detail from the football practice facility to the basketball gymnasium. For people expecting the facilities to not be up to the 7-A West, will be in for a surprise. The facilities are on par with the 7-A and in areas can compete with smaller universities.
The Wolverines indoor practice facility was where most of the activity was taking place on Monday. Coach Pratt was busy putting his Wolverines through a set of conditioning drills. The Wolverines have the numbers with around 130 kids expecting to suit up for Bentonville West. The weight room and training rooms exceed expectations. When people walk around they get a good look at the football indoor practice facility. The indoor facility will also be used by the Bentonville West softball and baseball teams, so it will be getting use year round.
The Wolverines basketball gymnasium is a facility that the entire Bentonville West coaching staff is pleased about. When people walk through the gym they will notice that the bleachers are not retractable, a majority of the seats in the arena are chair-back. Coach Pratt expects the arena “to hold around 2,500 fans.” That will put Bentonville West in line to host the state and conference playoffs immediately. The basketball training room will put some smaller universities to shame and is the class of the 7-A West Conference.
The facilities are in place for Bentonville West to come into the 7-A West as contenders in every sport they field a team with. The facilities are beautiful and Coach Pratt has every reason to be excited for the upcoming school year. For everyone involved it is a new school and a new year but the expectations of winning will never cease with the players and the coaches of Bentonville West.
