The Bentonville West 9th grade football team opened their season with a 35-21 victory over the Fayetteville Purple Bulldogs. Jonas Higson caught an 87 yard touchdown and a 23 yard touchdown in the first half. Luke Allen threw both TD passes. Hunter Coggin ran in a score late in the 2nd Quarter. Nick Whitlatch caught a 24 yard score from Allen in the 3rd quarter and Whitlatch ran a kickoff back 75 yards in the 4th quarter to seal the victory for the Wolverines.
