Dalton Cook’s two-run single highlighted a four-run first inning for Gravette as the Lions held off West and claimed a nonconference victory in Gravette.
The Lions added a run in the third, then West (8-8) closed the gap with a three-run third. Jason Gloeckler, whose RBI single gave the Wolverines a 1-0 lead in the first, had a sacrifice fly, while Joey Aden and Hunter Mayes each scored on a passed ball.
