The Wolverines scored 11 runs over the final two innings to roll past the War Eagles in 7A-West Conference play.

Bentonville West (11-10, 2-8) got two hits each form from different players. Kendall Thorton went 2-for-3 with two walks, scored a run and drove in two. He also picked up the win, allowing three runs (two earned) over six innings while striking out eight and walking one.

Will Jarrett, Jason Glockerler, Hunter Mayes and Seth Schoenauer had two hits each also. Gloeckler scored four runs and drove in one, while Mayes, Jarrett and Schoenauer drove in one run each.

Dylan Qualls and Ben Pollock had two hits each for Heritage (6-16, 2-8 7A-West). Qualls hit a two-run home run in the fifth to pull the War Eagles within 6-3. But West scored six in the sixth and five in the seventh to take control.
